Ahhh, Question for the veedub guys....

Postby MagicEddie » Tue Apr 03, 2007 2:08 pm

As many of you know I drive the 1985 Volkswagen Cabriolet,

It has had some temper trantrums on me, quiting with no reason, The first thing to ask is if any one has experianced a rabbit thats idle was reving-goes from about 500-1400 when warm cant figure it out have tried tuning up- but only ends up flooding the rig...

now when driving, have to keep a foot on the gas, or she'll die ( when warm ) Have little Idea why and was woindering if anyone has had any experiances, and learned why such things would be going on.

thanks for looking and any advice/ help

Vacuum leak? Did you try spraying around the intake manifold with starting fluid, and listening for a change in rpm?
