I stopped by and kicked the tire, so I'm good for a while.

Does anyone have a figure they'd like to see on a sale of this guy?

I know someone casually interested in buying a bug. Budget is definitely a concern, and it would have to be drivable, but not necessarily pristine. The potential owner has close contacts that could do some wrenching and body work.

My guess is they would probably be perfectly happy with "any ol' bug," and I really don't know what the going rate is for a Sun Bug in particular, so if this is like a Low-Light Ghia or 23-window bus it probably wouldn't work out.

Anyway, I want the group and my friend to be equally happy with what they get, so I'd like to know around what price would make you guys happy, and I'll see if that's doable. Leave room to haggle if you guys are so inclined.

The club paid $1200 for it, asking $1000 now- it needs work but is in good shape, not running currently but did when we started digging into it, minor stuff really the one major "fix would be to take care of the busted bolt on the strut tower. Then it could run down the road again. We'll concider offers btw. It just needs a home.
